You are going to listen to four short recordings about superheroes. Listen and number them.

There is one extra. 1. The First Superhero

Born with superhuman senses and the power to heal from almost any wound, he was captured

by a secret Canadian organisation and given an unbreakable skeleton and claws.

Treated like an animal, he has also got a very super sense of hearing and he is able

to recognise people and objects by their scent even if the person or object is hidden.

He is capable of seeing things at a maximum distance. He is huge and bigger than a

normal human being. Now he is a premier member of both the X -Men and the Avengers.

2. The Second Superhero

His secret identity is Bruce Wayne, an American billionaire, philanthropist and the owner of

Wayne Enterprises. After witnessing the murder of his parents as a child, he swore revenge

on criminals. Wayne trains himself physically and intellectually to fight crime. He is one

of the world's smartest men and the greatest fighters. His physical abilities and technical

ingenuity makes him an incredibly dangerous opponent. He is also a founding member of

the Justice League. 3. The Third Superhero

He is the most high tech superhero. A billionaire and an industrialist, Tony Stark was wounded,

captured and forced by his enemies to build a weapon. He created an advanced suit of armour

and saved his life and also escaped captivity. Now he hasn't aimed to make the world safer

and better place by using his money and intelligence. He is very clever and his intelligence allows

him to invent a wide range of sophisticated weapons and armors.

4. The Fourth Superhero

Her alter ego is Natasha Romanov. She is an Olympic class athlete, gymnast and acrobat.

She is an expert at martial arts including karate, judo, kendo, jujitsu, ikido, kung fu

and boxing. She is also a weapons specialist as well as having a great deal of knowledge

of spying. She is also a ballerina. She has been enhanced by biotechnology that makes her

body resistant to aging and diseases and heal at above human rates. She has a belt of metallic

discs full of explosives.
