3 kinds of bears live in Alaska. These are white bear, black bear and brown bear. White
bears or polar bears usually live on the ice and always eat meat, especially seals. They
often catch seals by waiting for them near their holes in the ice. White bears always
have a bath after meals. Black bears live in forests. They often eat a lot of
plants and really love honey. A black bear can occasionally attack people. After they
eat their food, they usually climb a tree. Brown bears or grizzly bears live in the
mountains. They sometimes go to the rivers and lakes to eat fish. Brown bears often eat
fruit and they usually sleep after meal. Brown bears rarely attack humans, but if you
meet a brown bear in the forest, lie down and play dead. White bears, however, are very
dangerous. So never go near a white bear if you meet a black bear, shout at it until it
goes away. When you go camping, always put your food and rubbish away from your camping
area, because black bears can smell it and come to the camping area.
