Read us corner, the mysterious island, track 19. Read and listen to some

information about the story, the mysterious island. As you listen, look at

the pictures and write the correct words next to them. Four men, a boy and a dog

are traveling on a hot air balloon over the Pacific Ocean. They want to go to

another country to escape the war. On the first day of their travel, there is a

heavy storm. The hot air balloon loses its balance. They throw out all the ballast

but they still fall. They are lucky because they land on an island and not in the

ocean. But are they really lucky? They have no food, no water and no place to

sleep. There are dangers on the island and there are mysteries too.
