Global Bike Festival

Live shows, talks, screenings, workshops, coaching sessions, demo bikes.

Technology of the world's leading cycling brands in addition to biking and races.

These are just a few of the things at the first Global Bike Festival,

which took place in the Austrian Alpine town of Selbach in June 2022.

It was an amazing experience for everyone who attended the event.

The festival was a global one, with almost 500 cyclists who were from countries across

the world such as the UK, Germany, Austria and the USA.

Not all the attendees were professional bikers, of course.

Some of them simply wanted to have fun and enjoy the experience.

Global Bike Festival, which is supposed to be held every year in the upcoming years too,

gave people opportunity to do something memorable and to meet cyclists

and many other people from all around the world.

There were opportunities for different types of cycling,

mountain biking, road cycling or gravel riding.

The attendees could choose whichever type they wanted.

The director of the festival said,

we were very happy to host a successful first edition of Global Bike Festival.

With attendees from over 20 different countries who traveled to Selbach,

the event definitely had a global feel and this has always been our ambition.

We were pleased to see a diverse mix of mountain, road and gravel biking

and the feedback on the riding experience has been excellent.

Selbach is a well -known mountain biking MTB destination but is also a hidden gem for gravel

and road riding. The gravel side in particular has huge potential and is an area which we are

planning to focus more on for future additions. We are already looking forward to making the

event bigger and better in the upcoming years. The festival took four days this year

but I hope it will be longer in the future.
