Hello, I am Janet.

I am from Australia.

I attended a summer camp two years ago.

The camp was in Palandakan, Arzuru.

It is in Turkey.

It was winter in Turkey at that time of the year.

We did many activities in Palandakan.

We went mountain climbing, skiing, and ice climbing.

I loved the ice climbing the most because it was more challenging than the others.

We had some training first.

Then we took a special axe, a knife, crampons, thermal clothes, ice screws, ropes, a flashlight, and a helmet for safety.

It is a very dangerous sport because you may fall down or get frostbite, but I love extreme sports.

Ice climbing gave me the feeling of freedom.

I felt freer than ever.

At the end of the day, it was fantastic to have hot chocolate around the fire.

I will never forget Palandakan.
