The Disaster in Italy.

On August 25, 2016, an earthquake hit Italy.

It happened at 3 .36 a .m.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 6 .2 on the Richter scale,

and the duration of the earthquake was reported as 20 seconds.

It occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Some of the worst affected areas are a matte rice and Pescara del Tronto.

According to the authorities, the earthquake killed 426 people

and 182 people were rescued from collapsed buildings.

Local hospitals got full of injured people.

It also damaged 560 buildings, and about 2 ,000 people lost their homes.

There were more than 256 aftershocks after the main quake.

The financial damage from the disaster was about $10 million.

Rescue teams worked for days to rescue others.

The government of Italy immediately wanted medicine and tents for the victims from other cities.
