Clothing around the world, no matter where people live, clothing serves a lot of purposes.

For example, it can serve as protection from the environment and keep you warm when it's

cold or cool when it's hot.

But as well as having practical uses, the clothes that people wear can tell us a lot about their culture.

Let's take a closer look at what people wear and why in different countries around the globe.

1. Mexico.

Mexicans make their colorful traditional clothes from natural materials like cotton.

The main characteristics of Mexican clothes are sun protection and comfort.

Mexican clothing also includes various beautiful designs.

These have a special meaning as they show stories from Mexican history and culture.

Two of the most well -known pieces of clothing in Mexico are the sombrero and the guaya bera.

The sombrero is a huge Mexican hat.

The bigger it is, the more it protects the body from the sun when the weather gets too hot.

The guaya bera is a light cotton shirt or suit and it is much cooler and more comfortable

to wear than more formal clothes, whatever the occasion.
