In most of the countries in the Middle or Far East, you mustn't display your feet in any way.

For example, by resting with your feet up.

In Vietnam, you mustn't point at someone with one finger, as people do in Europe and America, because it is in polite.

You have to use your whole hand instead.

In India, you mustn't wink at somebody or whistle in public,

because people there think it is inappropriate.

Chewing gum can be good for dental hygiene.

But in many countries, like Luxembourg, Switzerland or France, people think it is impolite to chew gum in public places.

Thus, it is important to have an idea about what behavior is or is not acceptable in each country.

However, you must never forget to be positive.

After all, a smile means the same in every language.
