Norwegian Folk Museum.

The Open Air Museum has got a lot of authentic historical houses from across Norway.

Among these original houses, there are also churches and large apartment complexes.

These are typical Oslo apartment buildings.

There are 155 different buildings in the museum area.

This is also a living museum.

There are 13 century guides, maids and traditional shopkeepers in the streets to help the guests.

This museum is fun for the whole family.

The Viking Ship Museum.

The Folk Museum's neighbour is the city's best known museum.

Three of the world's best Viking ships are in this museum.

Their names are Osaburg, Gokstad and Tune.

These ships are over 1 ,000 years old.

There are several decorative objects from the Viking society,

so visiting this museum is a good opportunity for understanding the Viking culture.

The museum is small, but you can visit the historical museum in the city centre with the same ticket.

Monk Museum.

There are many great museums in the heart of Oslo, but perhaps one of the greatest of them all is Monk Museum.

The famous Norwegian artist Edvard Monk is famous for his iconic painting.

It is called the Scream.

This is not his only painting.

There are many other masterpieces by him in this museum.

There are over 20 ,000 different Peters of Art by Monk in there.

Holman Collins Ski Museum.

Holman Collins Ski Museum is the oldest ski museum in the world.

It has got 4 ,000 years of skiing history.

There are skiers and skis from the Viking Age.

The museum is responsible for the organisation of sports, activities and events in the Holman Collins National Arena.

The working days of this museum is different from the other museums in Oslo.

It is opened 365 days a year.
