Many scientists report that animals change their behaviour 24 hours before an earthquake hits.

For instance, cattle go to high places like mountains or hills.

Animals in the zoo don't want to go inside their shelters.

They feel that there is something wrong.

Snakes come out of their nests, and birds leave their nests and fly away to other places.

They go to safer regions.

Insects come together near the seashores and come close to each other.

Animals at home become stressed, and they feel disturbed.

Street cats and dogs carry their babies to safe places.

They try to protect them.

Fish hurry here and there, and they also feel there is something wrong.

So, animals give us a clue about earthquakes.

Observe the animals. It's important.
