Ataturk founded the Horticultural Central Research Institute in Yalova in 1929.

Ataturk's aim was to develop national farming and provide training to farmers.

In that area, there was an old oak tree that Ataturk liked a lot.

In the same year, Ataturk commissioned the building of a kiosk next to that tree.

They built the kiosk, a year passed and they asked for Ataturk's permission to cut some branches of the oak tree.

When Ataturk asked the reason, they said that the branches might damage the house.

Ataturk's answer was, you won't cut the branches, you will move the house.

On Ataturk's order, a technical team from Istanbul came to Yalova and made the house 4 .8 metres on rails.

It was the first house in the world that workers carried on rails.

It set an example for other countries as well.

68 years later, they carried a building in the USA by using a similar technique.

Today, this house is a museum.
