People live everywhere in the world, and there are different races in different parts of the world.

These people do not look the same. They haven't got the same physical appearance.

The colors of their skin, eyes and hair are different. Their body sizes are different too.

The reason for all these is the climate of their countries.

It plays an important role in physical appearance. Here are some examples.

A boy from China usually has got straight black hair and dark narrow eyes.

He has got small eyes because he lives in a windy, cold and dry area.

His small eyes help his body to keep more water inside.

A Norwegian boy is usually born with blonde hair. Later it gets a little darker, but it never becomes black.

Blue is the most common eye color in Norway. He has got light skin color because he rarely sees the sun.

It is dark and cold most of the time.

An Arabian boy has got dark skin because he lives in a very sunny place.

His skin protects his body from UV rays.

Curly hair is common in countries with hot climates.

Remember the people in Africa, their hair is curly.
