2022 Get ready for 60 seconds of speed,

skill and all -out Ice Cross Downhill Racing. Imagine hurtling down a narrow

twisting, hilly ice track on skates up to 80 km per hour,

then trying to go even faster in order to beat the other three competitors.

This is downhill ice cross racing. From a competition with limited competitors

and a limited budget in 2001, Ice Cross Downhill Racing has become the most

exciting sport on skates and the fastest sport on ice.

The Sport

Ice Cross Downhill is an extreme winter sport.

It was founded in 2001 in Sweden.

The first Ice Cross Downhill World Championship took place in 2010

and since then, it has been getting more and more popular with races

in different categories and levels of difficulty.

The competitors or riders are equipped with ice hockey equipment

and where ice hockey skates to ride down an ice track full of many obstacles.

The track is four meters wide and is up to 500 to 700 meters long.

Four riders compete against each other.

The first two who cross the finish line move to the next race until the finals.

It is full of action. Here are some images from the recent tournaments.

Any racer can achieve this, but they may sometimes fall down without any reason.
