They enter their social network or blog, isolate themselves behind their computer screens and

stop taking part in everyday social activities.

This can have an especially negative effect on children who spend most of their time chatting

with friends on social networks because, as a result of this, they don't do well at school.

All in all, although social media are a very effective way for people to communicate, make

friends and collect information, at the same time, there are several disadvantages.

Everyone who uses this technology should be aware of the disadvantages and make sure

that they avoid them.
