It is 8 a .m. at a small primary school in rural Kenya. Inside the bright classroom there

are 20 excited students sitting at long wooden desks. There is a large chalkboard at the

front of the room where the teacher writes the day's lesson. There are colourful maps

of Africa on the walls and there is a wooden shelf with a few textbooks in the corner. There

are windows that let in plenty of warm sunlight and a soft breeze. That's why there isn't an air

conditional on the wall. There is no need for one. There isn't an interactive whiteboard in the room

but there is a computer on the teacher's desk. There is a lot of joy and energy in this classroom

as the children start their day.
