The Disaster in Italy.

On August 25, 2016, an earthquake hit Italy.

It happened at 336.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 6 .2 on the Richter scale,

and the duration of the earthquake was reported as 20 seconds.

It occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Some of the affected areas were Amatrice and Pescara del Tronto.

According to authorities, the earthquake killed 426 people,

and 182 people were rescued from collapsed buildings.

Local hospitals got full of injured people.

It also damaged 560 buildings, and about 2 ,000 people lost their homes.

There were more than 256 aftershocks after the main quake.

The financial damage from the disaster was about $10 million.

Rescue teams worked for days to rescue people.

The government of Italy wanted medicine and tents for the victims from other cities.
