Unit 9. Exercise 12. Read and listen to the text and complete the sentences.

Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany on 14 March 1879, but he grew up and got his

early education in Munich, Germany. Einstein mastered calculus, a form of higher mathematics

used to solve problems in physics and engineering by age 16. Einstein tried to enter the federal

Institute of Technology, FIT in Zurich, Switzerland. He didn't get in the university at first,

but he got in after a couple of tries. He is the founder of the theory of relativity.

This theory explains the famous equation E equals MC squared. Unfortunately, some scientists

used this equation for the invention of the atomic bomb. At the age of 54, Einstein moved

to America, and he died in Princeton on 18 April 1955.
