Mystery is one of the most popular genres. If you like mystery novels, you should read
these writers. It's a must. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is famous for having created the
world famous fictional character Detective Sherlock Holmes. He was a crime and mystery
writer. He was born on the 22nd of May 1859 in Edinburgh, Scotland. His most famous book
is The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle died at the age of 61
on the 3rd of July 1930. Edgar Allan Poe is known for his mysterious stories and macabre tales.
He is a very significant writer in American literature and he is considered the inventor
of the detective fiction genre. He was born on the 19th of January 1809 in Boston, USA.
His most famous novel is The Murders in the Room Org. Besides being a writer Poe was also an editor
and a literary critic. He died on the 7th of October 1849 at the age of 40.
