There are many ancient traditions all over the world that are still the same today.
Here are some unusual ones belonging to three different African tribes,
the Himba, the Caru and the Samburu, Himba, Northern Namibia, their motto.
Don't start your farming with cows, start it with people, their traditions.
Appearance is very important for the Himba tribe.
They cover their bodies with Ojise, a thick red cream made from crushed rocks and herbs.
Apart from being symbolic for their tribe, the cream also protects the Himba from insect bites
and a hot African sun.
A Himba woman only takes a bath with water once in her life, just before she gets married.
Also, she washes her hair with ash and she keeps the same hairstyle until she dies.
