Track 5 .4, speaker 1.

How do I prefer travelling?

It usually depends on the time.

If I have enough time, I usually take the train.

I have to go to Paris for meetings from time to time.

The train journey from London to Paris takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes, and I really

love it.

I prefer travelling in a compartment, and for my longer journeys with my family, we enjoy

sleeping in our compartment.

My kids think that ticket inspectors are funny.

I like getting my tickets from a ticket office, but when I don't have time, I get them online.

Speaker 2.

Well, I usually fly.

I really like travelling by plane.

Yes, it's a bit expensive, but it's fast.

I travel a lot because of my job, so time is very important for me.

When I go on a holiday with my family, however, I prefer cruise ships.

It's an excellent way of travelling, and it's very luxurious.

You just enjoy the scenery.

We set sail from one harbour and travel through the ocean.

Speaker 3.

I'm afraid of flying, and I think travelling by train is boring and noisy.

Do you know how I travel?

I take the bus.

I like bus terminals busy with human activity.

I like watching them.

I'm a retired person, and I'm not in a hurry.

I just take my time.

Sometimes I chat with the bus driver, so he can't sleep.

I'm just joking.

I like being close to people and meeting different travellers.
