Saragherme Kite Festival

I am in Saragherme Moula in Turkey now.

You know, every corner of Turkey is a paradise, but especially Moula is a spectacular city.

It is a great place to visit at this time of the year because Saragherme Kite Festival takes place at its beautiful beach now.

Hundreds of people gather to fly hundreds of kites together on the first Sunday of May every year.

You can attend this festival with your handmade kites only.

The festival starts at around 11 a .m. and ends at 5 p .m.

It is 12 .30 now and I am in the festival area.

People are doing different activities.

Some families are having a picnic, and some others, especially children, are swimming at one of the cleanest beaches of Turkey.

Some people are just lying on the beach and they are watching hundreds of colorful kites flying above them.

The kids are running and playing games with their friends.

I can say that it is a time for families and friends to meet and enjoy watching hundreds of colorful kites in the sky.

International Kite Festival

We are in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India now.

International Kite Festival is approaching, and the people here are preparing kites for the visitors.

They are stocking up on different kites to sell to the tourists.

This festival is very important for the people here.

They celebrate the end of winter and the upcoming of summer in this festival together every January for a week.

It is also known as Ma Kharsang Tranti.

The main organization takes place here in Ahmedabad.

The best place to celebrate this festival is the bank of the Saabarmati River.

Nearly 500 ,000 people watch the festival near the river.

They start coming to the festival area at 5am in the morning and go back to their homes at around 5pm.

The children here are flying their small kites.

The vendors are cleaning their shops.

The local people are making some handicrafts to display and sell in the local bazaar.

Some of the early tourists are buying different kites for themselves.

Some people are eating satu, a special dish.

The festival area seems ready for the tourists from all over the world.
