Being a genius

A genius is a person who has a level of intelligence that is very rare or remarkable.

A genius may be extremely clever at maths or science or games such as chess,

or they may be creative geniuses who are brilliant writers, musicians, or artists.

Genius may show itself in early childhood as a prodigy with particular gifts or later in life.

A genius may be a scholar in many subjects or in a single subject.

Albert Einstein is perhaps the world's most famous genius.

He was extraordinarily brilliant at physics, but in other areas such as painting, he was not particularly good.

Leonardo da Vinci, on the other hand, was a genius who can also be described as a polymath

because he was brilliant at lots of different subjects such as painting, science, mathematics, engineering, anatomy, sculpture, architecture, botany, and music.

According to some people, multiple intelligence's theory explains why there is such a difference between geniuses.

This hypothesis put forward by Howard Garner points out that there are at least seven types of intelligence

and each has its own type of genius.

These types of intelligence are musical rhythmic, visual spatial, verbal linguistic, logical mathematical, bodily kinesthetic,

intrapersonal, social interactions, intrapersonal, a deep understanding of the self, naturalistic, and existential.

Gardner argues that IQ tests only measure linguistic and logical mathematical abilities, and therefore calling a person a genius on the basis of an IQ score isn't a good idea.
