A story of determination never give up.

It was Tom Whittaker's dream to climb Mount Everest.

He began working for his dream in his early years.

At first he received training.

Then, he learned how to use the climbing equipment.

After that, he developed his climbing skills.

So, in a few years, he had a lot of experience in climbing

and he was ready to climb Mount Everest.

He really loved journeys and adventures

and he wanted to show people how to live in the mountains.

Unfortunately, in 1979, he had a terrible accident.

He lost his right foot in a car accident.

The accident changed his life.

After the accident, he couldn't walk for a long time.

He worked hard to walk again and he succeeded.

Nineteen years later, he could walk again.

He didn't give up the idea of climbing.

Everybody thought it was risky,

but he wanted to show them he could still reach his goal.

He had a difficult time on his way to the top of the mountain,

the summit of Mount Everest.

The trip was very dangerous and tiring for him.

He had a long infection, but he didn't give up.

He was very determined.

In 1998, he became the first disabled climber to climb Mount Everest.

It was unbelievable.

He made his dream come true.
