Read and listen to the following text about Isabelle.
The class president at work.
Hi, I'm Isabelle.
I'm a seventh grade student in Birmingham Secondary School.
When the school started in September, I wanted to be a candidate for class presidency
and ran a campaign with my close friends.
We prepared posters and put them up on the walls.
My friends found a slogan for my election campaign and I gave a speech before the election.
The result made me very happy because I became the new class president.
Being a president is great, but I have a lot of responsibilities too.
First, working as a team is very important.
When there is a problem, I work with other students to solve it.
We ask about each other's opinions and listen to each other carefully.
Then, I inform the school leaders about our solutions.
I also lead meetings and organize student activities and events.
When I make plans, I always listen to my teachers and friends' advice.
We have a suggestion box and I read the notes in it every day to do my best for everyone.
I love my teachers and my friends.
I feel lucky to be a student in this democratic school.
Having responsibilities is fun and I really enjoy what I do.
